Description
Who Should Attend
This event is open to faculty, classified staff & administrators from any community college.
Facilitators
ACE Master Mentors Teresa Macedo, PhD and Sadie Reynolds, PhD
Fee
$1800 per participant (or as negotiated for your college). Payment must be received at least two weeks prior to the start date.
Your fee includes:
- 5 days of instruction
- binder with participant materials
- continental breakfast
- buffet lunch
- afternoon snacks
- coffee & tea all day
- access to a Community of Practice forum for collaboration with FELI alumni & additional community resources
- Certificates of completion are available upon request.
Late Registration Policy
Registrations made less than two weeks prior to the event will be subject to a $50 late registration fee for increased costs (e.g., rush order duplications & additional administrative time).
Cancellation Policy
Registrations cancelled less than two weeks before the event will be subject to a $525 cancellation fee for non-recoverable costs (e.g., catering & administrative time).
Lodging
A block of rooms has been secured at the Hampton Inn & Suites Pittsburg, located 1.8 miles from the Los Medanos campus. Participants (or their colleges) are responsible for all lodging reservations & associated costs.
For guaranteed availability & group rate ( $80 plus tax), room reservations should be made before May X, 2012. California State and other government employees are encouraged to inquire about special rates. Please reference Academy for College Excellence FELI, Los Medanos Summer 2012; Group #X when reserving. IMPORTANT: You must call the hotel directly and ask for the group number for this rate; 1-925-473-1300.
Transportation
The main campus is located in Pittsburg, approximately 40 miles east of San Francisco and 30 miles east of Berkeley/Oakland. Major highway access is Highway 4, closest major airport, Oakland.
